IMKAN Properties was founded in 2017. Since then, it has launched a series of diverse residential, commercial, hotel and mixed-use projects in sought-after destinations in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, the Seychelles, Montenegro, Bahrain and Sri Lanka. The current general director is Suwaidan Al Dhaheri.

It is worth mentioning that IMKAN Properties is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG), a private institutional investment holding company headquartered in Abu Dhabi.

It manages a multitude of diversified portfolios that consist of equities of leading global companies, fixed income investments and alternative investments. ADCG is currently building and managing major projects such as Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation Hospital, H Hotels & Resorts in Dubai and Seychelles, The White Label Hotels and many others.

One of the key elements of IMKAN's work is a powerful research and development platform that allows creative solutions to be found for each project. The developer strives to create such ecosystems, residential communities and environments that will improve the quality of life of real estate buyers.

IMKAN Properties is currently building a series of mixed-use and residential projects throughout Abu Dhabi. These include The-Artery building, which combines a parking garage, art space and event spaces, and Pixel, the first mixed-use community in the Makers District. The company is also building premium luxury villa complexes: the exclusive beachfront community with 37 residences Nudra and the ALJurf project located in the natural ecosystem between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In addition, IMKAN Properties is involved in the construction of Sheikha Fatima Park, the first urban-style park in Abu Dhabi.

According to former IMKAN CEO Walid El Hindi, more than 121,000 commercial and residential units are expected to be delivered by the end of 2021. In 2019, the developer reported sales growth of 300 percent over the previous year, and the company has continued its growth since then. The company's former CEO said the total investment in projects already underway and planned exceeds AED 100 billion (USD 27 billion).

According to Walid Al Hindi, the company aims to introduce the latest technological advances in all its projects. For example, to reduce water consumption and increase the practical value of the project, IMKAN uses the sending of remote satellite signals combined with artificial intelligence technologies. The developer's goals correlate with those of the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 program and World Expo 2020, combining sustainability and innovation. It is predicted that demand for IMKAN properties will increase even more among investors and end consumers after the long-awaited exhibition.
